Dr. Lois was born and raised in Mexico City. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She obtained her Bachelors degree in chemical biological sciences and graduated with honors. She attended Universidad Technologica de Mexico, one of the most prestigious dental programs; after her research thesis and dental community service, she graduated top of her class in 1991.
From 1991 through 1994, she completed her residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at one of the largest trauma hospitals in México: the Regional Hospital “General Ignacio Zaragoza”, graduating as the best resident of the year.
She attended The University of Illinois at Chicago, where she completed a 2 year fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery from 1994 through 1996.
From 1996 through 1998 she was a volunteer research assistant at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
From 1999 through 2002 she completed her training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Los Angeles, CA at Martin Luther King Jr. / Charles Drew Medical Center affiliated to UCLA.
She received the resident of the year award.
She has authored numerous professional articles and lectures regularly on subjects related to her specialty.
Dr. Lois joined the practice of Dr. Spielman and Dr. Peak in 2003.
Dr. Lois is a Diplomate of the Mexican Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Board of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery.
She is a member of the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
She is one of the founders of the Fort Worth New Dentist Study Club.
She is on staff at Cook Children's Medical Center and Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital.
Her biggest accomplishment is the birth of her beautiful son Etienne in 2004.
Her philosophy is to provide quality and compassionate care to her patients, maintaining constant communication with the referring doctors.
Besides oral surgery she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
