Dr. Eduardo A. C. Humes
Dr. Humes joined the practice of Drs. Spielman, Peak and Lois in July, 2007. He was born in Nassau, Bahamas, and later moved to Nova Scotia, Canada, where he attended college at Dalhousie University. He received both the Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Public Health degrees from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Dr. Humes has had the opportunity to be appointed as Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan. He was also a Clinical fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Humes completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
He has a special interest in facial cosmetics (including skin tumor removals, Botox, and chemical peels). He has conducted numerous research and presentations on dental implants, facial trauma and reconstruction.
Dr. Humes is currently on the medical staff at Harris Methodist Fort Worth and Cook Children’s Medical Center. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Humes speaks Spanish, and enjoys soccer and writing.
