Oral/Facial CYSTS and Tumors

There are many developmental cysts and tumors that are related to the face, jaws and teeth. Often, they are asymptomatic and are detected by a dentist or a physician. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are uniquely qualified to evaluate and treat various types of oral and facial pathology.

If there is a suspicion that a lesion from a developing tooth (odontogenic) or from the jaws or face, a biopsy may be performed, and sent to a pathologist for definitive diagnosis. At Implants and Oral Surgery, we will review the pathology results with you and tailor your treatment to your specific needs.
