Meet Our Surgeon

Diana Reyes Lois, DDS, FAAOMS

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a surgeon and make a difference in people’s lives through my surgical care as well as getting to know each patient and their personal enriching stories.

After several years of intense training in Mexico and the U.S., I was able to achieve my degree and board certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Mexico as well as in the U.S.

This specialty is my passion, and I am committed to treat my patients with professionalism and kindness. I have been blessed to graduate with honors in each stage of my studies.

I attended the Universidad Tecnológica de México, where I completed dental school and completed a research thesis and a year of dental community service in a regional hospital as well as six months in pediatric dentistry. Then, I completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Hospital Regional Ignacio Zaragoza, one of the largest trauma centers in Mexico City. Upon completion, I was invited to Chicago, Illinois, where I completed a two-year fellowship at University of Illinois in Chicago. After several examinations and after volunteering at Emory University as a research assistant, I was able to complete my U.S. residency in OMFS through the Charles Drew/ MLK/UCLA program, graduating as the best resident of the year.

I was fortunate to find a job in a wonderful practice in this beautiful city that I call home now. I truly enjoy practicing my specialty and helping patients and the community. I serve the community by taking trauma calls at Texas Health Care Harris Methodist and being on staff at Cook’s Children Medical Center.

I was honored to be a director at large for the board of directors of the FWDDS and a part-time volunteer and faculty member at the Baylor Dental School. I currently volunteer for Save a Smile, Dental Health Arlington and participate in mission trips.

I have written several articles and presented lectures nationally and internationally. Besides my profession, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, reading and exercising.
